I Make Things Hard.

So when I said, “I think I’ll do a post every day until I’m 50!” on my 49th birthday, I knew it would be hard.

Today it’s May 12th.

This post is dated March 22nd.

In “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” (the 1971 movie, not the Tim Burton one, which is actually called Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which is the real name of the book by Roald Dahl FYI) Veruca Salt wants to sign away whatever legalities might be associated with entering the factory. Her poor emotionally battered father doesn’t want to let her.

Mr. Salt: I’m not signing anything without my lawyer.

Veruca Salt: Give me that pen! You’re always making things difficult.

I’m Veruca Salting myself. I’m coming down on myself for always making things difficult. Oh well, screw it. It’s 11:35 on a Thursday night and I need a break from writing the book.
