I just came across a website on happiness quotes for every day of the year. As expected, some were… what’s the word… generic? Vapid? Meaningless? I had to keep looking. Had to. Some were cool. Some were way out of date. One read “daily quote of the day.” OK.

The quote of the day from goodreads.com: “A single person is missing for you, and the whole world is empty.” ~Joan Didion, The Year of Magical Thinking. I have no idea what that’s supposed to mean. Actually, I do, but it sounds needy.
